ADMIRAL Sportwetten is the new betting partner of the Upper Austria Ladies Linz

This is a co-operation between the only WTA tournament in Austria and the number 1 for sports betting in Austria!

We want to work with the Upper Austria Ladies Linz will open a new chapter, tournament director Sandra Reichel has announced for the next edition of the traditional tournament in Linz. In addition to a new date (5-12 February 2023) and a new location (Design Center Linz), the partnership with ADMIRAL Sportwetten will add another highlight to this chapter. "ADMIRAL is my partner of choice, as the company is not only a reliable partner for sport in Austria. Through its partnerships in women's handball and women's football, Admiral has already sent out a clear signal in favour of promoting women's sport in Austria. With the Upper Austria Ladies Linz ADMIRAL is emphasising its commitment to women's sport," explains Sandra Reichel.

The cooperation includes a series of special promotions that will be implemented both on site at the Design Center Linz and online, for example via social media. The highlight will be ADMIRAL Day on 8 February 2023, which will also be the first sporting highlight of the tournament.

Jürgen Irsigler, Managing Director of ADMIRAL Sportwetten, emphasises: "We are delighted about the new partnership with the largest women's tennis tournament in Austria. The indoor event in Linz is an absolute traditional tournament and certainly a highlight in the annual Austrian sports calendar. After our extensive involvement in handball and football over several years, the cooperation in women's tennis is another important step towards the sustainable promotion of women's sport in Austria."

ADMIRAL has been a strong, operational brand with firm roots in Austria since 1991 and acts as a local supplier for sports betting and gambling. Admiral is a reliable partner of sport. ADMIRAL supports over 200 football, basketball, ice hockey and handball clubs and is a partner of the ÖFB Uniqa Cup, the men's national team, the ÖFB women's national team, the U21 national team, the national handball team and the Handball-Liga-Austria. In this way, ADMIRAL not only secures jobs, but also makes a significant contribution to regional value creation.

The Upper Austria Ladies Linz is the second oldest indoor tournament in the world on the WTA Tour and offers Austrian tennis fans world-class tennis with a very special feel for the up-and-coming stars of the scene. A few examples: In 2019, the then 15-year-old "Coco" Gauff made her breakthrough by winning the tournament in Linz. Aryna Sabalenka shone in 2020 and has been in the top ten of the world rankings ever since. In 2021, the freshly crowned US Open winner Emma Raducanu was signed for Linz. The top player at the tournament from 05/02-12/02/2023 is therefore also one of the big rising stars of the year. Maria Sakkari from Greece, the current number 6 in the world rankings, won the "Jerry Diamond Aces Award" from the women's tour organisation WTA at the end of the season. This honour is given to players who represent and promote the sport of tennis in a special way.
