LINZ AG remains a mainstay of the tournament

There is also news of success with regard to important partnerships: LINZ AG will remain closely involved with the Upper Austria Ladies Linz as a supporting pillar. LINZ AG will once again provide the location for the tournament draw this year. This time, the draw will take place on 28 January in the modern logistics park at the LINZ AG HAFEN amidst pallets, forklifts and high racks. The port of Linz was first in the spotlight in autumn 2023. The grand opening of the port park took place on 20 September 2023. The 3,600 m2 leisure park is located at a height of 18 metres and right on the roof of the hall where the draw will take place. The draws in Linz are a special highlight, not least thanks to the diversity of LINZ AG, which is always able to offer new and exciting locations for the draw ceremony.

LINZ AG will also be represented in the Design Centre during the week of the tournament itself. At its own infotainment stand, the topic of sustainability, which is also important for the tournament, will play a major role. And this time LINZ AG will also be represented with a drinking water bar. Did you know that LINZ AG supplies an average of around 63 million litres of drinking water every day? Let's see whether the fan community in the Design Centre will increase this daily amount. That wouldn't be a big issue for LINZ AG. Because on peak days, around 80 million litres are pumped.

"As a supporter from the very beginning, LINZ AG is delighted that the Linz women's tennis tournament has been upgraded to a WTA 500 event. In recent years, tennis fans, including many of our customers, have been able to experience world-class tennis in Linz. This year, the best of the best will be serving at the Design Centre and we are delighted to be able to offer many of our customers free entry again this year. The corresponding competition is running on our website www.linzag.at until 12 January," says Erich Haider, CEO of LINZ AG.

Haider also emphasises: "Tennis is offered in many local clubs and connects generations as well as leisure and competitive sport. The Upper Austria Ladies Linz focuses on the broad impact of tennis and combines top-class sport with business, the advancement of women and - since 2023 as a green event - climate protection. LINZ AG is also involved in many of the points that are important to the tournament organisers, whom I would like to congratulate on the upgrade. We are therefore very happy to be on board again for several reasons. I wish all the players a successful sporting stay in Linz, the tournament organisers a successful week and all the fans exciting matches at the Linz Design Center."

LINZ AG for Energy, Telecommunications, Transport and Municipal Services

LINZ AG is a public utility company. With its services and products, it ensures the provision of basic services to the people of Linz and 117 municipalities. The reliable supply of water and energy to 400,000 customers and the disposal of waste and wastewater are just as much a part of LINZ AG's responsibilities as the provision of public transport or the operation of the municipal cemeteries. The Linz harbour and the company's telecommunications services are also of great importance for the businesses located in Linz and the surrounding area. LINZ AG is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Stadt Linz Holding GmbH group of companies and employs more than 3,200 people.
