"Every ace a honeycomb" - Upper Austrian presents honeycombs to young beekeepers

Oberösterreichische Versicherung launched a sustainability initiative as part of the Upper Austria Ladies Linz. Every ace beaten meant a honeycomb for a young beekeeper. At the end of the tournament, 346 aces had been beaten, which the management board of Oberösterreichische doubled to 700 honeycombs. The first honeycombs were handed over to young beekeeper Tanja Humer by General Director Othmar Nagl and Board Director Kathrin Kühtreiber-Leitner.

 

"As an insurer, we bear responsibility for our customers, but also for our environment. Our aim with this sustainability project was to raise awareness of bees. It is particularly important to us to make a contribution to the protection of bees and the promotion of young local beekeepers with this initiative", emphasises Nagl.

"We are delighted to support and encourage young beekeepers in this way. Because they look after the survival of our little pollinators. Our thanks also go to the OÖ. Landesverband für Bienenzucht, which is actively supporting us with this campaign and will subsequently also take over the distribution of the honeycombs to the young beekeepers", says Kühtreiber-Leitner.
