Advantage Ladies! The FE&MALE Sports Conference will be held under this motto as part of the world-class Upper Austria Ladies Linz tennis tournament on January 31, 2024. It is the 2nd edition of a high-caliber, all-day conference, which celebrated its premiere this February as the 1st Austrian Women's Sports Symposium. The organizers are the Upper Austria Ladies Linz as Austria's most important women's sports event, the federal sports organization Sport Austria and the Austrian Tennis Association (ÖTV). "For me personally, the FE&MALE Sports Conference is an essential cornerstone of our tournament program. After the upgrade to 500 status, we have even more appeal and want to offer an even bigger stage and platform for important social issues. We are more than just a tennis tournament," says Tournament Director Sandra Reichel. "I am very happy that we have strong partners like Sport Austria and the ÖTV at our side, with whom we are once again working on a spectacular program. The FE&MALE Sports Conference also shows that the city of Linz and the province of Upper Austria are once again providing important impetus for women's sport. A big thank you for that."
The Upper Austria Ladies, the second oldest women's indoor tennis tournament in the world, will take place for the first time as a WTA 500 tournament at the Design Center Linz from January 28 to February 4, 2024. The venue for the symposium will once again be the Design Center's conference hall with its outstanding technical infrastructure and auditorium that can hold up to 500 people. Advance ticket sales, which include admission to the evening matches, began on Thursday (today). HERE to get to the ticket store. The first program highlights will be presented on 1 December at a press conference with Vice-Chancellor and Sports Minister Werner Kogler. Further information on "Advantage Ladies" can be found at HERE.
The aim of the first event on February 10, 2023 was to make women's sport more visible, position it more clearly and strengthen it overall. The 2nd edition is now being taken to the next level with a new focus - hence the new name: FE&MALE Sports Conference. This symposium deliberately addresses not only women, but also men to the same extent. It is about cooperation in sport on an equal footing between women and men. In case studies and best practice examples
The Upper Austria Ladies Linz has been setting an exclamation mark for women's sport in Austria for decades; the Linz tennis classic celebrates its 33rd edition in 2024. In its conception as a 500 WTA event, it continues the 4-pillar strategy that was so successful this year. This includes events in the areas of promoting women, inclusion, promoting young talent and sustainability.
