Mercedes-Benz Austria becomes mobility partner of the Upper Austria Ladies Linz 2026

Mercedes-Benz Austria will be the official mobility partner of this year's Upper Austria Ladies Linz (WTA 500) from 5 to 12 April at the Design Center Linz. At the same time, the tournament organisation is taking over a fully electric vehicle for a year - the new Mercedes-Benz CLA.

Game - Set - Star

Tennis will be the global sponsorship focus of Mercedes-Benz in 2026. The cooperation with the Women's Tennis Association emphasises the brand's clear commitment to international visibility, performance, precision and female excellence.

With the tournament in Linz, one of the most renowned women's tennis events in Europe, this partnership can now also be experienced in Austria. As a WTA 500 tournament, the Upper Austria Ladies Linz is one of the top international tournaments and brings world-class players and media attention to Upper Austria every year.

In addition to the brand presence on site, Mercedes-Benz Austria is providing a high-quality shuttle fleet for players and officials. The tournament organisation will also receive a fully electric CLA as an official cooperation vehicle for one year - a visible sign of modern, sustainable mobility.

„Tennis is a global sport with enormous dynamics - and at the same time very personal. It is precisely this area of tension that fascinates us. With the global WTA partnership and the activation in Linz, we are demonstrating how we are bringing global brand strategy to life locally. At the same time, the electric CLA represents the next evolutionary stage of our mobility: progressive, emotional and fully electric, says Agnieszka Kühn, CEO & Managing Director Mercedes-Benz Financial Services Austria.

„A WTA 500 tournament thrives on precision, timing and reliability - on the court and in the organisation. Mercedes-Benz stands for precisely these values. The electric CLA will accompany us for a whole year and makes the partnership visible beyond the tournament, explains Sandra Reichel, Tournament Director Upper Austria Ladies Linz.

„Tennis is more than a sport - it is a stage for personality and performance. When a global brand like Mercedes-Benz puts this sport in the spotlight, it strengthens the visibility and appreciation of women's tennis“, is joined by Barbara Schett, brand ambassador and former world-class player.

Performance on and off the pitch

With this partnership, Mercedes-Benz is clearly positioning itself in international top-class sport and at the same time strengthening its presence in the Austrian cultural and sporting environment. The commitment in Linz combines a global brand strategy with a regional commitment and sends a strong signal for sustainable mobility in professional sport.
