The countdown to the FE&MALE Sports Conference will be accompanied by the spectacular introduction of a top speaker. Dr Lara Vadlau, sailing gold medallist at the Paris Olympics, will be joining geneticist Prof. Dr Markus Hengstschläger on the opening panel on Wednesday 29 January at 9.45 a.m. for a "dialogue of possibilities".
Sport teaches us to grow beyond ourselves - through collaboration, resilience and the ability to constantly face new challenges. In my career as a sailor, I have learnt that success is not only based on physical strength, but above all on mental flexibility, strategic thinking and a strong team. It is precisely these values - courage, innovation and the pursuit of excellence - that I would like to share at the FE&MALE Sports Conference to show how we can shape sport and society sustainably together," explains Dr Lara Vadlau, Olympic sailing champion and doctor in the run-up to the event.
Successful Together
The third edition of "Advantage Ladies" focusses on the interaction between women and men, deliberately highlighting the opportunities for cooperation between sport, business, science and the media.
This year's programme is once again packed with ideas and best-practice descriptions from a wide variety of sports. Examples include motorsport with the young international driver Ivonn Simeonova, athletics with Lena MiIlonig, gymnastics with Austria's gymnast of the year, Olympic athlete Charlize Mörz, and rowing with "Advantage Ladies" ambassador Magdalena Lobnig.
The keynote speeches by Yana Bokareva, Sports Marketing Manager EMEA of the sporting goods manufacturer ASICS, and Bettina Baer, Client Service Director of the sports marketing agency Two Circles, promise to be highlights. The statement by Saman Soltani, IOC Refugee Olympic Team Paris 2024 canoeist, is likely to be an emotional highlight.
The presentation of the Linz Market Institute's major survey on the potential, opportunities and future viability of Austrian sport, which will be published during the FE&MALE Sports Conference "Advantage Ladies", is being awaited with particular anticipation.
"Advantage Ladies" is a joint event organised by Upper Austria Ladies Linz, Sport Austria and the Austrian Tennis Federation and is held as part of the WTA 500 women's tennis tournament at the Linz Design Center.
The event will be moderated by ORF journalist Alina Zellhofer.
The entire conference programme is available on the Upper Austria Ladies Linz website www.ladieslinz.at to find.
