Meanwhile, four Austrians, all of whom have received a wildcard, will be competing in the qualifiers from Sunday. Sinja Kraus (UTC Fischer Ried), the winner of the "Young Ladies Wildcard Challenge" Mavie Österreicher (LINZ AG Team Oberösterreich), Tamara Kostic (LINZ AG Team Oberösterreich) and Liel Marlies Rothensteiner (BMTC-Brühl Mödlinger TC) will be flying the red-white-red flag. Rothensteiner, who celebrates her 20th birthday this Saturday, will also receive a very special birthday present. Kostic will face Suzan Lamens (Netherlands), who was seeded number one in the qualifying round, in the first qualifying round on Centre Court (Sunday, 10.00 a.m.), while Sinja Kraus, the current Austrian number one, will play Spain's Nuria Parrizas Dias. Liel Marlies Rothensteiner, who reached the final of the Wildcard Challenge last week, will take on Petra Martic (Croatia), the Linz finalist from 2023. Mavie Österreicher will then take on Anastasia Zakharova. Jule Niemeier (against Jodie Burrage/Great Britain), Ella Seidel (against Celine Naef/Switzerland) and Tamara Korpatsch (against Sara Sorribes Tormo/Spain) are three Germans at the start.
