The two-time winner of Grand Slam tournaments, Romanian Simona Halep, has already experienced many photo shoots in her great tennis career. But today's was certainly the most curious and spectacular.
The company backaldrin from Asten near Linz had invited to a flour shooting! Tennis balls are dipped in flour and then thrown to the players. The forehand and backhand volleys trigger a corresponding "flour fog effect", which creates spectacular images. This also created a small training session for the players.
In addition to the likeable Romanian, who is ranked number 2 in the tournament, the third seed Danielle Collins (USA), Julia Grabher, the best Austrian in the field, and tournament ambassador Babsi Schett took up the challenge.
"This was fun" was the unanimous verdict! In addition to lots of fun and great photos, there was of course a Kornspitz snack for all the "photo models". The photos will be used to produce a special snack folder, which will be available in the TipsArena during the tournament. Wolfgang Mayer, member of the backaldrin management team, sees sport and nutrition as an ideal combination: "Top performance in sport, as well as at work, school or leisure, is only possible with the right nutrition. Bread and pastries have always been a basic building block for this".
