Advantage Ladies, the FE&MALE Sports Conference, 2026 is expanding its programme for the first time to include in-depth workshops in the afternoon.

After a morning full of stimuli and discussions, the workshops offer targeted spaces for exchange, professional consolidation and practical application. They combine in-depth knowledge with interactive formats, enabling reflection and transfer into your own sports practice.

From strategy and media work to coaching and respect in sport: the workshops are all about discussing insights together, sharing experiences and developing concrete options for action.

The combined experience and expertise of the participants flows into concrete impulses for male allyship and responsible action in sport - with a particular focus on the promotion and visibility of women and girls in sport.

WORKSHOP FORMATS AT A GLANCE

COACHING & TRAINING

Communicating new ways

For a gender-sensitive training culture & male allyship in coaching

What is it all about?
The „Coaching & Training“ workshop is all about new ways to create a gender-sensitive training and coaching culture. We will shed light on how coaches can take on responsibility as male allies in order to actively involve young men in gender-equitable sports practice. Theoretical impulses are combined with practical exercises and examples from successful projects. The focus is on promoting awareness, options for action and concrete ideas for implementation - from the polysport approach to everyday coaching practice.

MEDIA & COMMUNICATION

Telling stories in a balanced way.

For gender-balanced reporting & practical communication tools

What is it all about?
The „Media & Communication“ workshop is about telling sports stories in a balanced and gender-conscious way. We shed light on how media portrayals shape perceptions, role models and power relations in sport - and how these can be actively reflected upon and shaped. Using practical tools and international good practices, participants will learn how to recognise and avoid gender-specific stereotypes in reporting and how to build targeted coverage for women's sport. The aim is to develop concrete strategies that contribute to fair, effective and inclusive sports reporting.

RESEARCH & SCIENCE

Rethinking perspectives.

For scientific insights that scrutinise a male-dominated sports system

What is it all about?
In this workshop, experts will show what women achieve in a sport traditionally designed for men and how these successes can be made visible through data and research. At the same time, they will show how research findings can be communicated in such a way that they create awareness, initiate social discussions and serve as a sound basis for change. The workshop makes inequalities in sport tangible and shows how scientific findings can be used for effective communication and impact.

STRATEGY & STRUCTURES

Designing fair structures.

For strategic levers & effective equality measures

What is it all about?
Equality in sport does not happen on its own - it needs clear structures, strategic levers and well thought-out measures. This workshop is about how organisations and managers can Develop and define equality strategies, The aim is to enable them to scrutinise structures and plan the first steps towards sustainable change. Practical examples and international good practices are used to show how guidelines, governance models and funding programmes can be used as tools for a fairer sporting world.

RESPECT & SAFETY

Take responsibility.

For safe spaces, clear attitudes & a shared sense of responsibility

What is it all about?
Taking responsibility in sport does not just mean adhering to rules, but also creating spaces in which all players feel safe and respected. This workshop highlights ways in which protection concepts, prevention and a reflective attitude towards power and influence in sport can be brought together - with the aim of promoting safe structures for athletes.
