Austria's biggest tennis talent search continues!

1,000 tennis rackets will be provided for 1,000 girls by the world-class women's tournament Upper Austria Ladies Linz. In addition, the participants will receive a free taster session with professional tennis coaches, a great goodie bag and, of course, tickets for the next Upper Austria Ladies Linz tennis tournament at the start of 2025.

The next round of this special Upper Austria Ladies Linz junior promotion will take place this summer, organised by TC Wels 76, on 17 July 2024 in Wels.

As a special highlight, Austria's best female tennis player of all time, the tournament ambassador of the Upper Austria Ladies Linz, Barbara Schett, will personally reveal tips and tricks to the stars of tomorrow. "I'm really looking forward to this event because it's a fun but also very professional first step into tennis for young girls. First and foremost, it's about having fun," explains Barbara Schett, who made it to seventh place in the tennis world rankings during her active professional career. 

Further information is now available at this link available. A total of 90 girls between the ages of 06 and 10 (born between 2014 and 2017) can take part in this round.

"1,000 tennis rackets for 1,000 girls" is a campaign organised by Austria's largest and most important women's sporting event, the Upper Austria Ladies Linz.

Tournament director Sandra Reichel is truly passionate about getting young girls into tennis. "I would like every girl in Austria to have the opportunity to take part in tennis training at least once. Having their first tennis racket is an important step in this direction," says Sandra Reichel, summarising the basic idea behind the campaign.
