It was the first major social highlight of the anniversary edition of the Upper Austria Ladies Linz. At the Players Alpine Night presented by Raiffeisen Landesbank Oberösterreich in the VIP area of the Design Centre on Monday evening, players, sponsors and other invited guests celebrated the 35th anniversary of the Linz women's tennis classic in style! The players were dressed in traditional costumes from Heimatwerk to match the theme and competed in a variety of Easter challenges, which the tournament favourite Mirra Andreeva won in the end. The „Plattlermentscha“ Schuhplattler dancers from Bad Kreuzen provided the entertainment.

„There are many similarities between top-class sport and the banking business: in top-class sport, you have to keep adapting, and it's the same in the banking business. But the biggest similarity is that nothing works alone, you need your team,“ explained Deputy CEO Michaela Keplinger-Mitterlehner in a welcoming address.

„I would like to thank Sandra and her team. What you have done with this tournament is truly exemplary. What you have achieved overall to support women's sport is really great,“ said Markus Achleitner, State Councillor for Sport and Economic Affairs, giving special praise to tournament director Sandra Reichel and her team.

The Linz sports officer did the same and Deputy Mayor Karin Leitner: „I would like to thank Sandra for making all this possible. Because it's not just starting in Linz, it's also continuing. It has developed magnificently and it will continue to develop magnificently.”
